Sierra Sydney Harris

"My name is Sierra Sidney Harris and I work as a Registered Veterinary Technician at an Emergency Veterinary Clinic near Peterborough, ON. I graduated from Laurentian University - Université Laurentienne in 2017 with a Bachelors of Science (Honours) Specialization in Zoology and a Minor in Indigenous Studies. I took a year off school and worked with Bumblebee reproduction and then with Wildlife Preservation Canada as a Bumblebee Technician, helping to collect data on bumblebee species at risk. However, I really wanted to develop my knowledge of not only the research side of animal studies but also the medical side. I went back to school and graduated St. Clair College in 2020 as a Veterinary Technician. I am now a fully Registered Veterinary Technician as of October 2020. I am deeply grateful for the scholarship from The Hour-A-Day Study Club and its help along my scholastic journey."
