Noah Wilson

My name is Noah Wilson and I am a graduate of W.F. Herman Academy Secondary School in the Greater Essex County District School Board. I am excited to begin my studies at St. Clair College in the Electrical Techniques program. My goal is to become an apprentice after completing my program and to eventually become a licensed electrician. However, my ambitions do not stop there. After gaining practical experience in the field, I plan to further my education by attending the University of Windsor to become an electrical engineer. This pathway will provide me with the knowledge and qualifications needed to master the field of electrical concepts, enabling me to excel in a rapidly evolving industry. Noah has been awarded the Evelyn & Lornie Hurst Sr. Memorial Scholarship $2100! Congratulations Noah Wilson ! #HADSCScholarship #HADSC #UGRR #Blackhistory365 #gecsdb

🌟✨#HADSCscholarshipspotlight: Lily Mulder🌟✨ My name is Lily Mulder and I am a graduate of North Star Secondary School in the Greater Essex County District School Board. I am attending West Texas Agricultural & Mechanical University majoring in Sociology and Women and Gender Studies. As for my career, I do not know what I want to do as a job, but starting in sociology will hopefully give me an understanding of the next direction I need to go to achieve my goal. My goal, with whatever job I have, is to help people. It could look like coaching, counselling, and or teaching. Aspiring to possibly be a youth worker or school counsellor, I want to make sure women and children have a safe environment and safe person to talk to. While at West Texas A&M, I compete in the NCAA on West Texas A&M’s Softball team. Lily has been awarded the Leona Olbey Memorial Scholarship of $2100! Congratulations Lily Mulder ! #HADSCScholarship #HADSC #UGRR #Blackhistory365 #gecsdb

Akira Baldassi

My name is Akira Baldassi and I am a graduate from W.C. Kennedy Collegiate Institute in the Greater Essex County District School Board. I am attending Toronto Metropolitan University majoring in Criminology. I want to be a teacher because I feel future generations need representation in all spaces. I feel Black students need more representation and more Black teachers that's why I'm is aspiring to be one of them. Growing up, I have only ever had one Black teacher, one Black vice principal, and our first Black guidance councillor in the school board as representation, but I find that many Black students still feel as though they do not have someone they can look up to that understands their struggles. My goal is to become that person that Black students can relate to. Akira Baldassi has been awarded the Hilda Watkins ETFO Scholarship of $2250 Congratulations Akira Baldassi! #HADSCScholarship #HADSC #UGRR #Blackhistory365 #gecsdb @tmu
