Mary Ann Shadd Cary Statue Reveal

The Mary Ann Shadd Cary statue unveiling by the University of Windsor on May 12, 2022 marked a momentous occasion as this was several years in the making. Members of The Hour-A-Day Study Club were honoured to be in attendance. Mary Ann Shadd Cary acts as an inspiration to us all. President Marium Tolson-Murtty acted as the MC, Irene Moore Davis and Willow Key gave wonderful historic addresses and Leslie McCurdy‘s performance depicting Mary Ann Shadd Cary will be one to remember. The Hour-A-Day Study Club members in attendance included Patty Alexander Sydnie Moore Dena Shreve, Tramaine Whited, Dr. Barbara K. Smith Barbikath Smith, and Patricia Lorraine Neely-Mccurdy.
